    Great way to spend an afternoon and learn a heap about the war effort in Darwin. Not sure why this history is not taught in schools in Australia. As an adult I had no idea our war involvement was so intense. Great displays, videos and sound bytes. Top effort to the curator and team at the Museum.

    TheDarwin Military museum was awesome. So much to see and very interactive. The kids really enjoyed it. Great to see so much of the history has been preserved and available for others to see.

    To get to know Darwin is to also know its history and this makes the military museum a must-see on the list of attractions. Interesting facts such as the total number of bombs dropped on Darwin Harbour is more than what the Japanese did at Pearl Harbour. There are also smaller exhibits on Australian's presence in the Vietnam war amongst other conflicts. The outdoor section also presents old military vehicles, cannons and tanks on display.

    Utterly brilliant, displays were literally packed full! I'd recommend doing the outside first then coming in for the air-conditioned main building (don't worry most of the smaller display buildings out the back are also cooled which is really pleasant)
